“The Fluid, organic and voluptuous forms I observe in nature attract me irresistibly. I find in these forms not only the essence of primeval life, but also a topological poetry in the space-time continuum, evolving as time flows onward. Nature and its mathematical representations are my principle source of inspiration. Trained as an engineer in physics, I have always loved science and mathematics in which I constantly discover unparallelled universal beauty and poetry which I try to imprint in my abstract works. I also see in Nature a sense of humour that is the key to its survival in spite of what we humans make it endure. I do not believe we have to save the planet, which is infinitely wiser than humanity is, we must on the contrary save our own species before Mother Nature annihilates us altogether, in one of her manifestations of dark humour. Sculpture is for me a means of marking my passage in space-time, and through the process, trying to decrease entropy ever so slightly.” |
