Initiation - Prerequisite: None - Objective: Decision to continue training

Brief introduction to sculpting stone through a simple project, in a figurative style, with a soft stone; rough outline, simple details and polishing.

 

Intermediate - Prerequisite: Initiation Workshop or equivalent - Objective: Completing sculpture projects

Basic techniques using soft stones; sketching, rough outline, details; polishing, finishing, mounting.

 

Advanced - Prerequisite: Introduction Workshop or equivalent - Objective: Development and autonomous work

Advanced techniques; introduction to electric tools and to their safe use; conceiving and developing sculpture projects; mounting, presenting, pricing and certifying work; photography for documenting work.

Note

While tools are supplied in all cases, learners are encouraged to using their own tools in order to develop mastery. Learners must however provide their own safety gear (goggles, gloves, apron, dust mask, ear protectors as may be needed).
