Introduction - Prerequisite: None - Objective: Apprenticeship and gradual mastery

Introduction to stone sculpting tools and to their safe use; soft stones; 3D vision; free and figurative styles; sketching basics, rough outline, details; polishing, finishing, mounting and presentation.

 

 

Intermediate Course - Prerequisite: Introduction Course or equivalent - Objective: Development and autonomous work

Introduction to electric tools and to their safe use; soft and hard stones; mastering the 3rd dimension; developing a personal style; rough outline; cross-cut roughing and sculpting using electric tools; mounting, polishing, documentation and pricing of works.

 

Note

While tools are supplied in all cases, learners are encouraged to using their own tools in order to develop mastery. Learners must however provide their own safety gear (goggles, gloves, apron, dust mask, ear protectors as may be needed).
